Change

Size:

40 x 16 ins box canvas

Media:

Acrylic

Date:

August 2007
Price: £299

About:

This is a "flat to wall" canvas painting. This is an idea by my 14 year old daughter. Climate change could be related to the oppression of the hot compressing the world of the cold. Both inter twined and part of the same world, but also very alternate. The division is formed by two green lines representing the impact of green issues and organic matter.
The artic area uses iridescent paint to give a really cool artic feel. The idea is to paint this in virtually flat colours with limited detail, in an abstract type way

Communication

23.1/2 x 19.1/2 inches

Media:

Acrylic

Date:

August 2007
Price: £345

About:

What a vibrant piece this is! This is one of a series I am doing on traditional African stories, hand down by word of mouth over centuries. This one depicts the communication of ancient tribes. The drum is made from Goat skin. The Tabala (big drum) is Cow or Camel skin. And a horn. These methods allowed the people to intertwine and communicate as one, hence the links with arms.
Art wise its a stunning colourful piece that will attract lots of attention. Watch out for others in the series.
Hand painted in acrylics on special hahnemuhle 3.5mm board, hardly textured and virtually flat. Framed behind glass and in a plain black frame. This is quite a large piece.

Media:

Pastel

Date:

April 2008
Price: £749

About:

I have done this piece before, but last time it was smaller and combined pastels and acrylics. This time I went for only pastels and a much larger piece of work. The feel is a kind of surreal almost abstract item but yet also realistic. Using very soft tones of pink and yellow the piece is striking with the red lips and blue eyes, Framed in a wide double mount and frame, this is a large painting. Simply stunning feature piece.
